December's Safe Cycling Course Recap

In case you missed it: On Christmas Eve,

Wecycle Atlanta had our Safe Cycling Course. Our Safe Cycling Course was created to provide lessons on bike safety. During this course, we provide a hands-on learning experience for bike maintenance, bike safety, and bike riding. We also encourage active engagement between the youth and their peers and parents. Our last Safe Cycling Course was a success! 

The youth came out and were taught how to maintenance their bikes, the proper hand signals, and the safest ways to ride.

Each kid took home a bike for completing our Wecycle Atlanta Safe Cycling Course. Thank you for helping us get more youth on W.H.E.E.L.S.

#YouthOnWHEELS: LadyBug Lemonade. Young Ladies Taking The Lead!

Today was a great day for WeCycle Atlanta's #YouthOnWHEELS all thanks to great community support! Today we aided our youth EARN a total of $266 toward their spring and summer field lessons and lightly launched two social entrepreneur endeavors that address youth engagement, employment, and entrepreneurship. Today we introduced to the world...

A fruit based lemonade stand that engages and provides enrichment activity stipends for young girls.

SUPER SHOUTOUT TO OUR YOUTH!

They were working so hard! They were tired at the end of their fundraiser, and some fell asleep at the shop! lol. This portion of the fundraiser will fund the youngest cohort member's KIPP STRIVE Primary School trip to Calloway Gardens! Next week we will be working to send two other members to Walt Disney World!!

Come out to support! We will be set up during the Malcolm X Festival 2016 Atlanta in the Malcolm X Youth Empowerment Shop (b.k.a. Wecycle Atlanta). May 21st and 22nd.

In the words of James Brown, "This is a man's world". Today and forever We Cycle for love. We cycle to combat the stresses of life, and on AUGUST 8th, we are uplifting the Black Man. Wecycle Atlanta staff and volunteers will be celebrating, healing, massaging, and feeding fruit to the black woman to show them that WE care. We will be doing a pop-up spa at WeCycle Atlanta with massages and yoga available. 

Bicycle Rentals are free of charge for all brother's (donations accepted), limited supply.  

To insure a comfortable climate, this event is exclusively for African Americans and people who identify as black.
